New CodeSystems and ValueSets Introduced

Adjudication Reason – A set of codes used to specify the reasons for adjudication in claims processing.
Form Code – A set of codes used to identify different types of documents and forms associated with the claims processing workflow.
Payment Type – A set of codes used to categorize various types of payment in the PaymentNotice workflow.
Task Output Value – A set of codes representing output values in the task workflow.
Task Output Type – A set of codes that can be utilized to describe the type of output in the task resource.
Reason Code – A set of codes used to indicate the reason for task execution.

🆕 Updates & Enhancements

CodeSystems/ValueSets Updated

Benefit Category – Revised SNOMED CT hierarchy to improve classification of benefit categories under claims.
Claim Exclusion – New claim exclusion codes added.
Product or Service – Expanded list of SNOMED CT codes to provide a more exhaustive product/service catalog for claim processing.

Profiles Updated

Claim – Updated the cardinality of element `Claim.identifier`.
ClaimResponse – Updated the cardinality of the `ClaimResponse.item.adjudication.reason` element and to ensure inclusion of the original associated claim request marked Claim.request as must-support.
Insurance Plan – Added extensions `ClaimCondition` and `ClaimSupportingInfoRequirement` to `insurancePlan.coverage.benefit` and `insurancePlan.plan` elements.
Task – Marked `Task.reasonCode` as must support to indicate the reason for processing the task.
